Do you remember a while back that I briefly mentioned the fascinator workshop I photographed for Holly Young? Well, Cornish Bride's came out this weekend, and it has a lovely feature of the workshop, including some of my images! Yay!

Away with the Fairies

This week I am in Lisbon! So this week, much like many weeks recently, will be a quiet one here. Life is taking over the blog, rather than the other way around sadly at the moment. However to keep you occupied and to keep the glimpses into my life coming here are some photos from the beach the other day. Can you tell how much I love instagram at the moment!?

Also on the plus side, one of my photos from the workshop with Holly Young has been used as part of an advert in Glamour magazine!! So exciting to open the pages of a national magazine and see one of my images, even if it is tiny :). AND- there will be a full feature of the workshops that Holly runs in Cornish Brides coming out soon, plus a full feature on Anna D'Souza in Cornwall Today, using my images soon! So LOTS of goodness going on here in the background :).

Holly Young Fascinator Workshop

The lovely Holly Young recently asked me to photograph one of her hen party fascinator workshops, and so I spent last Sunday evening having a relaxing, and extremely girly evening with Holly and 7 other girls :).

Other than having a fantastic evening, and meeting some lovely girls, I'm feeling very lucky that the images from the shoot are going to be used for an advert in Glamour Magazine; running in 3 issues, and also for a feature in Cornish Brides Magazine!! Images will be posted when the magazines are released! :D

But, back to the workshop! Holly can hold a workshop, teaching you and a group of friends, how to create a fascinator just like some of her gorgeous designs. She will take you step by step through the process, and provide all the supplies for this. (The one downside of the workshop for me was that I didn't get to make one!)

Chic Bride Feature!

Good morning! I have fabulous news that my 50's Bridal shoot has had it's first feature! The hair accessories of Sarah Drew and Holly Young were worn beautifully by the models Dani and Lily, and have now been featured on Chic Bride; a wedding blog catering to Cornwall and Devon! This is fantastic, and I can't thank you enough Sharon for wanting to share the images.

50's Bridal Shoot

Plans for my styled shoots are now taking form, and the first one will take place this week! I'm so excited that after 2 months of planning the shoots are now becoming a reality!

Shoot one is going to be a 50's styled bridal shoot in collaboration with Anna D'Souza, Weddings by Neila, Holly Young Hats, Sarah Drew's Hair Accessories, Clare Webb Cultivation- all put together with the help of Ali Berry Weddings! Plus on board we will have Dani Marie, and Lily Pickles, our two models for the day. Lily will be wearing white vintage dresses from Two Little Birds Boutique, while Dani will be wearing this recycled stunner by Anna;

The whole shoot will be taking place at the Falmouth Townhouse, in their pool room. We are very excited by the colours of the Townhouse interiors, and also by the various stags heads placed around the reception areas of the hotel. We have decided to incorporate this into our  yellow, blue and purple theme, by using Stag's Head's on the Name cards and Menu all created by Pogofandango Wedding Stationery.

Very soon I will be sharing the other shoots that are a result of this project and can't wait to share the final images from them all!

Engagement Shoot Competition with Kit's Boutique in Falmouth

I know I already mentioned this last week, but I'm gonna post about it on a weekly basis to make sure that everyone is fully aware :).

So the gist is that I am running a fantastic competition that I am running with Kitty Askew, the genius behind the very popular Kit's Boutique in Falmouth!

We are offering one lucky couple the chance to win a retro styled engagement shoot!! The photo shoot will be a picnic in the park, for the couple to enjoy while I photograph them. They will be completely styled with clothing from Kit's boutique, and will enjoy their picnic is an outdoor room created with pieces from Kit's home-ware store on the high street.

They will also have their hair and make up done by Neila of Weddings by Neila, and enjoy wearing hair pieces and accessories hand crafted from Holly Young Hats.

After the shoot they will receive a full disk of images of their day, plus a print of their choice. They will then have also had the opportunity to meet some potential vendors for their wedding day, who they could use, if they wanted to, at a fabulous discounted price!
